    When I first picked up the “M3” conversion darts I wondered if I could get it to stick in the board. The set I threw were the 16 grams “Revolution” which are only 5mm round the dart barrel. Empire Darts also make this model in other weights but I wanted to try out the lighter set on bristle boards.

     The first thing that struck me about the dart was how thin it was. A bit longer than most darts I usually throw with but that didn’t seem to matter. This 90% tungsten darts was born out of German engineering and features to small threaded nipples on each end of the darts allows the point to be placed on either end of the barrel. This technology allows the barrels to be milled down and make the darts long, thin and sexy, a.k.a. “supermodels”.....read more

    JOHN PART hit a nine-dart finish in defeat to Mark Webster on the opening night of the Sky Bet Mobile World Matchplay on Saturday, as World Champion Adrian Lewis edged past Kevin Painter in a classic at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

    Canadian ace Part, a three-time World Champion, became only the third player behind Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld to achieve a nine-darter in the 18-year history of the World Matchplay.

    Part is now in line to claim a £10,000 bonus should no other player hit a nine-darter during the remaining eight days of the tournament in Blackpool, although that would be double his prize money of £5,000 after he went on to lose 10-8 to Mark Webster.....read more
